Description: You are invited to celebrate the birth of the United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 20th, at 5:00 p.m. at Main Street UMC as the church observes Aldersgate Day! There will be a special worship service in Main Street UMC’s sanctuary featuring a mass choir
composed of members of the Winston-Salem District including members of the Chancel Choir here at Sedge Garden UMC. There will also be special messages presented in the service including a message from our very own, Preacher Dave. A love offering will be
received to benefit the Children’s Home in Winston-Salem. Please come support Sedge Garden and the United Methodist Church on this historic day in the United Methodist Church.

Memorial Day Worship Service and Fellowhip

Description: Sedge Garden UMC will host a special Memorial Day Service dedicated to the memory of those persons who gave their life for our freedom and to honor those who were wounded, disabled, served, or are presently serving our country. There will be special music and all veterans will be recognized. Our guest speaker is Mr. Jimmy L. Myers of Advance, NC. Mr. Myers is a US Navy Chaplain and has also served as a UMC pastor and a District Judge. We will be honored by his presence and look forward to hearing his message. We also welcome members of the WWII, 563rd Anti-Aircraft Battalion as our special guests. Our very own Grady Sink is a member of this unit. A time of fellowship will follow the service in the Brian Ray Holland Fellowship Hall. Please invite your friends and neighbors to come and take part in this special service of remembrance and recognition of all who have served our country to preserve our freedom!
