Monday School is a group of members of the congregation who gather on Monday evenings at 7:00pm in various places for a time of Bible study and “odd jobs” to do around the church. Made up primarily of members of the music department, these individuals are unable to attend Sunday School due to their commitments to the music department on Sunday morning. > more “Frazzled Females” A ladies bible study group committed to studying God’s word and encouraging one another in our faith journey. Meetings are every other Tuesday night throughout the year. Three studies a year are our average and include bible teachers such as, Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Lysa Tuerkuerst and many more. This fall we will begin a six week study by Jennifer Rothschild entitled, Me, Myself and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover. Adult Fellowship is a group primarily made up of retired individuals who enjoy fellowship with one another. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month in the Brian Ray Holland Fellowship hall at 12:00pm noon for a small, covered dish meal as well as games, Bible study, and sometimes musical entertainment. On many occasions, they’ll even travel to different restaurants for lunches together. “MUTS” (Men Under Tremendous Stress) a men’s bible study group that participates in studies that are typically six – eight weeks long. They recently began Max Lucado’s “Outlive Your Life”. They meet every other Wednesday in the Manual Classroom at 6:30. Andy Rouse is the contact person. United Methodist Women at Sedge Garden consists of three “circles.” Each circle varies slightly, but all three welcomes every woman – whether a United Methodist or not – to visit each circle to find the best “fit” for her. > more |
